Join us at 6PM at Youth FX Studios for a special World Premiere Screening of new short documentary films created by filmmakers from the Youth FX Arts2Work Fellowship.

These powerful portrait-style documentaries tell deeply personal stories from across the Capital Region, illuminating the experiences, memories, and perspectives of a dynamic multi-generational group of participants. Each film reflects the distinct creative vision, voice, and storytelling approach of the Arts2Work filmmakers behind the camera.

We hope you’ll come celebrate this incredible cohort of emerging filmmakers and the communities whose stories they have brought to the screen. It will be an inspiring evening of storytelling, connection, and creative achievement.

We are honored and excited to introduce the 2026 NeXt Doc Fellows — 12 emerging nonfiction storytellers whose work reflects our continued commitment to the possibilities of global solidarity, and reminds us that storytelling remains one of the most vital tools we have for building community and challenging dominant narratives, as well as a critical space for creating new artistic forms of understanding.

Their work spans borders, identities, histories, cultures and cinematic approaches, reflecting the depth and complexity of this moment while pointing us toward more expansive vision of our desired futures. We look forward to supporting their creative growth, deepening their connections to one another, and witnessing the bold and transformative stories they will bring into the world.

As NeXt Doc continues to grow as an international community of artists, mentors, and collaborators, we are honored to welcome these 12 dynamic storytellers into the fellowship!

Our Youth FX World Premiere Screening last week at Scene One Spectrum 8 Theaters was such amazing celebration of honoring the voices of our youth and their powerful storytelling! A huge thanks to the Spectrum staff for hosting us for our SOLD OUT premiere! Thank you to everybody who came out to support - it means so much to us!

We had to bring back the red carpet to interview our amazing students about their creative processes - stay tuned for that! We were in awe of our incredible young filmmakers and the stories they tell - it’s a gift to do this every year and see the powerful stories they tell!

A huge shout out to our incredible staff and especially our lead educators Daysia and Camille and our admin coordinator and teaching artist Tyler for helping to make the event a special night to remember! And a huge thanks to for documenting this amazing night with her beautiful photos! 📸

A BIG thank you to everyone in our community and our families who showed up, showed out and showed love, all proceeds from the screenings will go directly toward funding our summer program, helping us continue to uplift youth voices. 🎬🌟

YOUTH FX ENCORE SCREENING TOMORROW NIGHT!

You’ve got one more chance to experience the newest Youth FX films on the big screen at Scene One Spectrum 8 Theatres

Join us tomorrow night for an encore screening of this year’s World Premiere lineup — a powerful collection of brand-new short films from across the Youth FX multiverse, created by the next generation of visionary filmmakers.

This is authentic storytelling with so much heart, humor, thrills, style, and urgency — and there’s nothing like watching these films in a theater with the community that helped bring them to life.

We sold out the theater last week and we’re hoping for another full house tomorrow!

So come through, bring your people, and help us celebrate these incredible young filmmakers and all the work they put in to create these cinematic visions!

All proceeds support the Youth FX Summer Film Program.
