This is the floor where the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference is happening this week. 19,000+ attendees, including 6,800+ competitors, will have tons of networking opportunities, gain valuable industry experience, learn about new technologies and advancements in the field, and develop their leadership abilities.

This life-changing event will help set them up with skills employers are looking for. We can't wait to see what the week has to bring.

We can't help but share more from the incredible contestants at the New York State Business Plan Competition (NYBPC).

Shreya and Samantha shared their project, an ai software they created to detect phishing links in emails. There was a wide range of projects the contestants had to share, but they all gained valuable insights and connections at this event.

It was our pleasure to help sponsor the NYBPC and invest in a program that will have a lasting impact on student entrepreneurs from all over New York State.

Lowe's Home Improvement CEO Marvin Ellison is bringing attention to the state of the housing market currently...and it's not looking good. ๐Ÿ˜”

Since housing attainability is one of our pillars, we're taking a closer look at the root issues. We look forward to speaking to experts in the field and creating solutions that generate more opportunities for everyone.

The "lock-in" effect is real, Lowe's CEO Marvin Ellison tells Yahoo Finance.

Meet Leyla! You might recognize her from our other posts about the GROW program launch. ๐Ÿš€

Leyla completed the CNC Technology Program at Hudson Valley Community College in just two years and graduated with both a degree and a job offer...in the last week.

It's important for us to share stories like hers to show what's possible when we invest in workforce development programs that equip candidates with the skills employers are looking for.

We can't wait to collaborate on more workforce development initiatives and Leyla - congratulations from all of us at BFGF! ๐ŸŽ‰

We had an incredible morning at Hudson Valley Community College officially launching the GROW Program (Generating Resilient Opportunities for America's Workforce).

With the rise of AI and a shifting economy, weโ€™ve committed an initial $100,000 in the first half of this year to help the Capital Region workforce pivot into high-growth, resilient careers.

From modernizing entry points for the 18โ€“30+ demographic to closing the educator wage gap, we are building a national model for inclusive prosperity right here in the Capital Region.

A huge thank you to President Brophy, Senator Patricia A. Fahy, Crickett Thomas-O'Dell and Brian Williams at the Capital Region Workforce Development Board, and everyone who has come upon this journey with us.

The future of the Capital Region wonโ€™t be left to chance. Letโ€™s get to work!

We're ecstatic to launch GROW, the Business for Good Foundation's workforce development program. ๐ŸŒฑ

Standing for Generating Resilient Opportunities for America's Workforce, GROW includes strategic grants to partners like the SEAT Center, aimed at accelerating HVAC and trades training programs to build a more resilient local pipeline.

And, we couldn't think of a better place to announce it than the Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC).

BFGFโ€™s GROW program moves beyond traditional silos to create a seamless talent pipeline between schools, employers, and policymakers. Together, we can support a stronger workforce designed to tackle the biggest of challenges.
