Thank you to all of our speakers and attendees at yesterday’s meeting! We heard from the Albany County Coalition on Homelessness, the city of Albany’s Housing Services Advocate, and the Albany Public Library (vote on their budget on May 20th! 🗳️) We learned of some really valuable resources and were able to have some great discussions.

Thank you SO much to everyone who came out for our meeting at .albany last night! We had a wonderful turnout and some really great discussions. A special thank you to Georgette Steffens from , County Legislator , and Walter Thorne from for their presentations and willingness to engage and answer questions about where Downtown is and where we are heading. And to Shane from Ophelia’s for letting us use their great music space for our meeting. We couldn’t do these meetings without the generosity and help from local leaders and businesses, nor without the participation from our attendees.

We have some great ideas for upcoming meetings so please keep a look out for our next meeting announcement soon!

We had a great time celebrating the accomplishments and growth of Downtown in 2023 at the Downtown BID’s Annual Meeting, and we’re eager to see our neighborhood just keep getting better. Huge congratulations Albany Center Gallery and Lodge’s for their awards for being wonderful leaders and change makers for Downtown. The future is bright ✨

We want to thank Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and her office for a prompt and thoughtful reply to our letter last week concerning Clinton Market Collective. We are happy to hear that there are plans in motion to find an entity to activate and manage the space and we look forward to monitoring Capitalize Albany Corporation’s progress with the Request for Proposals (RFP).

Thank you SO much to everyone who joined us for our resident Bingo night last night! 🔴🟠🔵🟣🟢 We had some fun competition among neighbors and gave away some great prizes. Anytime that we can bring together the neighborhood to build community and strengthen our little corner of the world is a win in our book!

A special thank you to The Olde English Pub for being such a welcoming and enthusiastic host, as well as Ama cocina, The City Beer Hall, and Downtown Albany, New York for donating some of our prizes. As a completely volunteer and non-profit organization we rely on the kindness of our neighborhood businesses to help us do what we do, and we’re grateful to have their collaboration 🤗
