The Warren and Denyse Mackey Foundation, in partnership with The Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp and , is bringing an empowering hair braiding experience to Metropolitan NTM Baptist Church! ✨

Here are the details:

✨ Who: Girls ages 9–13
📅 When: July 6th – July 31st (Choose one 3-day session, 1PM–4PM)
💪 What: Learn precision parting, cornrows, and hygiene from a pro! All supplies are 100% provided.

⚠️ Important:
* Child must be registered for the main Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp during the weeks offered.
* Select your 3-day session directly on the main camp registration form.
* Space is strictly limited to 15 campers per group!

The Warren & Denyse Mackey Foundation is incredibly proud to celebrate the graduates of the Capital District YMCA Black & Latino Achievers program! 🎓✨

In partnership with the we are honored to invest in the future of our youth through two special funding initiatives this year:

$10,000 Matching Grant: Empowering this year’s Teen Achiever of the Year, Rosalia Vargas, as she heads to UAlbany!

$1,500 Heart of Hope Grant: Awarded to Lexine Norbi for her Pre-Med journey at Temple University through the "Achievers Pathways to Medicine" Scholarship.

Congratulations to Rosalia, Lexine, and the entire Class of 2026! We can't wait to see all you accomplish.

If you are entering your senior year, this is your ultimate head start to master the college application process, perfect your essays, and build your college list.

🗓️ When: August 10–14, 2026 | 9:00am – 2:00pm
📍 Where: Russell Sage College (Kahl Campus Center, Room 224)

✨ Priority given to students from Albany High School, Green Tech, KIPP, and Albany Leadership.

📢 The celebration continues! Let’s hear it for the Capital District YMCA and their incredible Black and Latino Achievers Program, taking home a $1,500 prize in the Warren A. Mackey Spirit Award challenge! 🏆✨

Talk about a powerhouse team effort! To make this happen, the YMCA dedicated an entire morning across NINE different branches to get their membership screened, following a powerful 30-minute training session conducted by WDMF! 🏢💪 Now that is how you mobilize a community for health!

Even better? This $1,500 prize is going directly toward a scholarship for a deserving student entering college to study in a health field! 🎓🩺 We love seeing this investment in the next generation of healthcare leaders!

The official award presentation is going down at their Gala during the first weekend in June, and we cannot wait to celebrate with them in style! 🥂✨
