The SAL National Photo and Video Contests are an excellent opportunity to showcase the outstanding work our members perform every day in support of our Four Pillars and their communities. Memorial Day activities, community service projects, membership events, and other recent programs make great submissions.

I encourage Detachment, District, and Squadron leaders to actively promote these contests and follow up with their squadrons to ensure they are aware of this opportunity.

Submissions must be received by June 30, 2026.

The deadline for pre-submitted vouchers for the Detachment Convention is June 22nd.

As of June 5, 2026 the current 2026 membership stands at 30,976 (94.83% of year end goal). We need 1,699 more 2026 renewals to reach 100%. Currently 0/10 Districts, 18/60 Counties and 169/383 Squadrons have reached their 100% membership goal.

To set a new Detachment of New York Membership record (32,296) we need 1,320 more 2026 renewals.

Don't forget to submit your Consolidated Squadron Reports and your Officer Certification Forms as soon as possible.

Okay Team New York, here’s the latest numbers from National. We are SO CLOSE! Get those renewals in and let’s finish the year strong!!

As of May 29, 2026 the current 2026 membership stands at 30,850 (94.41% of year end goal). We need 1,825 more 2026 renewals to reach 100%. Currently 0/10 Districts, 18/60 Counties and 161/384 Squadrons have reached their 100% membership goal.

To set a new Detachment of New York Membership record (32,296) we need 1,446 more 2026 renewals.

Please also remember to complete your Officer Certification Form (OCF) and your Consolidated Squadron Report (CSR). Both are due this month.
