TODAY is the deadline for pre-submitted voucher for the upcoming Fall DEC Meeting. To date there have been very few submissions. Please submit you voucher TODAY in order to receive you reimbursement check (if authorized) at the Fall DEC MEETING.

For those eligible, pre- submitted vouchers need to be in by Oct. 9th

Sons Members, please see below for a message from our Membership Chairman and the link to the latest Membership Report dated 9/25/26.

As of September 25, 2026 our 2027 membership stands at 5,224 (16.30% of goal). To reach the October 14 35% target date goal we need an additional 5,991 renewals. We are seriously behind achieving this goal. Please make a concerted effort to members in your squadrons to renew their membership.

Membership reports are now being posted on our new Detachment of New York website. The link is As of September 25, 2026 our 2027 membership stands at 5,224 (16.30% of goal). Please see below for information on upcoming American Legion National Regional Information Conferences, including one to be held in January 2027 in Albany.

The conference is designed for any American Legion member or Sons of The American Legion member to learn informative training on the organization’s mission, vision and programs, and to connect with other American Legion Family members. Attendees do not need to hold an officer position.
The curriculums focus on legal topics, Be the One su***de prevention, American Legion programs, post operations, running an effective meeting and membership retention.
Locations and hotel information for this upcoming NRIC:

Room rate: $130 a night plus 14.5% tax
