Good news, PEF members! Some of the economic benefits negotiated by your Contract Team will be paid this spring.

The Office of the State Comptroller released payroll dates for performance advances, longevity lump sum payments, and longevity service payments, as well as the recently extended Higher Education Differential (HED).

Please petition to be a Shop Steward for Division 169 members! This is your chance to represent your colleagues and advocate for their best interests. Petitioning has already begun!

The one (1) year election term begins April 26, 2026.

To be nominated, you must be a PEF member and obtain the signatures of at least three (3) members within your DEC division. if you are not currently a PEF member, you may obtain a PEF member application (https://www.pef.org/membership/) from the Election Committee.

A PEF member may sign only one (1) nominating petition for their Steward constituency. A nominee may not sign their own petition.

Petitions must be received in hand in the Divisions Elections Department at PEF Headquarters, by 5:00 pm on April 13, 2026.
