Labor Day, New York. To everyone who keeps this state running, thank you.

52% of full-time workers in New York did not earn enough to afford the basics for one adult and one school-age child. United For ALICE calls these households ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. They earn above the Federal Poverty Level but not enough to cover essentials like housing, food, child care, and transportation.

Everyone deserves to be able to cover the basics. We'd love to celebrate a Labor Day when that 52% is 0%.
