Bears on Bike as a last den adventure of the year

This week we had a wheel-ie good time learning about the ABCs of bike maintenance (Air, Brakes, Chains), bicycle safety and traversing a parking lot course all with the help of the Colonie Police Department Bike Patrol. The kids brought their bikes and learned what they needed for a fun and safe spring and summer of bike riding 🥰

Last night we spent a little unplanned time outside for our meetings :)

The Wolves worked on their Paws for skill using games to teach us how to work with a team, help others, and follow rules.

The Bears worked on Marble madness to learn how to use marbles in games, in mazes and obstacle courses

The Bear den was on the loose at the local police department. They even got to see what its like behind bars... don't worry we secured their release for good behaviors ;)

Thanks to Mr. Murphy, we had a very exciting field trip to the Colonie Police Department this week! They were able to see inside the courtroom; met of the special members of the K9 unit and learned more about what they do; and interacted with a drone :)
