The SLV Teen Prevention Coalition had an in person potluck meeting this past Friday (6/12/2026) at the SLV Indian Center in Center. A huge thank you to SLV AHEC for their hospitality and the members who attended! It was a great turnout!

They say, “it takes a village” and our village is growing! We are all working together to support youth in our community and to reduce youth substance misuse. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more!

To wrap up Mental Health Month, Youth Wellness Day, yesterday was a great success that focused on coping strategies. A huge thank you to our amazing coalition member, Karicia from All About Me Aesthetics, who organized this incredible event and all organizations who participated including Rio Grande Prevention Partners, SLV Behavioral Health, Tu Casa Inc, Genesis Connection and Rio Grande Wellness Center who hosted us in their beautiful facility! A huge shout out to Adam’s State University for sponsoring the Build A Bear Workshop materials! Finally, can’t forget about our incredible Teen Prevention Interns who were able to participate and support the event! This is what true collaboration looks like!
