White Sands Soaring Association

White Sands Soaring Association Welcome to the White Sands Soaring Association. We are a glider club located at the Alamogordo White Sands Regional Airport.

We were formed in 1959 by a group of people with a keen interest in soaring, and have been in continuous operation ever since. Our purpose is to promote the art, science, fellowship and fun of soaring. WSSA Sailplanes:

Blanik L-13 two seat trainer
Blanik L-23 two seat trainer
Grob 103 two seat, motor glider
Grob 103 two seat sailplane
Grob 102 single seat sailplane

Towplane:

Cessna 150/180hp



Glider flights are available Saturdays and Sundays or by appointment. Call 575-434-2671 for more information. You will fly with one of our members in a two seat glider and soar over the Tularosa Basin, and if the conditions are good, over the foothills of the Sacramento Mountains and have views such as seen in the photos.
