REMINDER: ONLY U13, U5 & U7 Start games this week

For the Fall 2026 season, the field arrangements are as follows:

(Running EAST to WEST)

U13: ONE field East end of complex

U11: TWO fields

U9: TWO fields

U7: TWO fields South West end

U5: TWO fields North West end

On gamedays, there will be flags to coordinate. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused so far.

Please keep in mind we are a volunteer league. Your patience is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions about field assignments please get with your coaches BEFORE games start.

Hello Parents & Coaches,

We are very excited for our first round of games tomorrow, September 12th! Times will vary depending on your team so please check the schedules online on our website in the Schedules tab. Just a friendly reminder games are for U13, U5 & U7 ONLY this week. U9 & U11 will have first games in two weeks on September 26th. All games are at Ed Brabson Balloon field on Lavelle Rd.

The fields have been rotated this season per our contract with the Parks and Recreation department. In an attempt to avoid confusion attached is a field diagram. Please allow a few extra minutes for coordinating this before your games on Saturday.

Parents have designated sides for each field on the opposite
side of Coaches and Players. This is mandatory per our league By-Laws which can be found on our website under the Laws of the Game tab. You do need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click the READ MORE option in Red.

Uniforms for all ages are as follows:

• Orange Jersey (Home Team) or Purple Jersey (Away Team). If you were not able to pick up jerseys your player can wear an Orange or Purple shirt until our next round of handouts which will be before September 26th.

• Any solid color shorts = No graphics allowed (brand logos are OK)

• Shin guards & cleats are required for all ages

• Any solid color socks = No graphics allowed (brand logos are OK)

Last, but certainly not least, we have attached the U.S. Soccer Referee Abuse Prevention Policy which has been provided by our affiliates New Mexico Youth Soccer Association. This policy was included in each players registration.

The policy is strictly enforced and is zero tolerance. It extends to all family members* who attend events. Please make sure you and your families are familiar with this procedure.

Otero County Youth Soccer League is devoted to fair play and sportsmanship. Our number one priority is that players who choose to play in our league enjoy their experience and create lasting, positive memories. We expect that all participants in our league including Coaches, Players, Parents and Officials have the same mindset and contribute to building the exceptional experience for all those involved in the game.

League update as of today 4 September, We are still HOLDING U7, U9, U11 to find more coaches!!!

Just a friendly reminder, we are a volunteer run organization. We rely on volunteer coaches like you to help us get this season up and running.
Without enough volunteer coaches, we will begin refunding players who will not have an assigned team based on a first registered first served basis. If you’re interested in coaching, please go onto our website and register your Coach on our volunteer tab in your profile

***U5: All teams are filled Rosters went out this morning, please be patient coaches will reach out soon!

U7: Short 1 more coach! (holding) - 8 kids are at risk of not playing

U9: Short 1 more coach! (holding) - 12 kids are at risk of not playing

U11: Short 1 more coach! (holding) - 14 kids are at risk of not playing

***U13 - Rosters and games schedules are out practices began this week!

YOU ARE STILL ABLE TO PURCHASE JERSEYS AT THESE TIMES.
MUST BE $35 CASH OR CHECK

JERSEYS MAY BE REUSED FROM PREVIOUS SEASONS
Must fit the player properly: player should be able to raise both arms with jersey tucked in

BEST TO BRING PLAYER IF YOU ARE SIZING FOR A NEW SET. We are UNABLE to do any exchanges
