Hello folks! We hope you all have made it through the recent storm intact.

Unfortunately, the labor hub will be closed today and possibly this coming Sunday while we work on cleaning up water and assessing damage taken during the storm.

This recent bout of weather has revealed that the hub has repair needs that go beyond a couple of patch jobs to the roof and some drywall.

We will post an update after being able to fully assess the damage to keep y'all up to speed.

In the meantime, stay safe, take care of each other, and thank you for your understanding during this time.

Howdy everyone! Unfortunately we will be cancelling tomorrow's volunteer day due to weather. Stay home, stay warm, and stay safe! We'll see everyone again Wednesday from 5-7!

We will be closed tonight so our volunteers can spend Christmas Eve with their families. We hope everyone enjoys the holiday season and we'll see everyone soon!

The weather is getting colder and we know that not everyone has the means to keep themselves warm. We at the labor hub have gathered some of our older donations and pallets for anyone that might need to pick up some firewood. Look for it beneath our sign at 1110 Indiana Avenue! We hope everyone can keep warm despite the weather.

If you need some wood for projects, feel free to come to the labor hub Sundays from 10-2 and Wednesdays from 5-7pm. We hope to see you soon!

The Labor Hub will be closed tomorrow November 26 for Thanksgiving. We'll see everyone back at the Hub on Sunday the 30th from 10-2!

What a wild and wonderful weekend.

A quiet little food drive turned into a multi-county effort and has supplied our local no-questions kitchen for months! We are so proud of all of you- our community members, donors, volunteers, organizers, and organizations.

In a time where groceries are at an all-time high, wages at an all time low, and over half of our working folks can't make ends meet after sending their hard earned checks to landlords across the country: we came together as a community and made sure food doesn't have to be an added stress on the budget for anyone who either shows up or asks for a delivery.

If you or anyone you know is in need or just wants a damn fine meal prepared by our incredibly talented neighborhood volunteers: hit up Runners Refuge at 601 Delaware Ave. They're open multiple days a week- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-5:30!

YALL!

We are so proud of you. Donations poured in today in the form of food, household goods, hygiene products, tools, money, and labor.

So many folks are struggling right now and this is going to help immensely.

We take care of our own around here.

Thanks to everyone who showed up this past Saturday for our Oregon Park cleanup! We were able to get 2 bags of trash in as many hours while enjoying the beauty of the park. We'll keep y'all posted with other volunteer opportunities as we have them!

After our last post about the Otero County Labor Hub we received a few questions about how the process works. We put this video together to give people an idea of what to expect! It's just like going to a library for books except you leave with tools! We look forward to seeing y'all soon. We're open Wednesdays from 5-7pm and Sundays from 10am-2pm.
