Safe Haven For Kids Safe Haven for Kids is an emergency shelter for children needing immediate protection due to being removed from their homes for their own safety.

There is an urgent need for an Emergency Shelter for Abused Children in South Texas. Currently there are no emergency shelters in the Rio Grande Valley. When the children are removed from their homes, they are transported out of the area to other cities several hours away. Imagine the fear these children are feeling, in a car with a stranger for hours, after suffing the trauma of being removed

from their homes, not understanding what is going on, where they are being taken and why they were taken away from their family and seperated from their siblings. We ask that you please join us in making the experience less frightening for these children that have already suffered enough through the hands of their abusers. Safe Haven For Kids will provide a warm, loving , secure home environment for these abused, neglected and/or abandoned children to stay and most of all , being kept together with their siblings, while the courts decide where they will be placed.
