🚨 122 DAYS. Marley has been waiting 122 DAYS for someone to choose her. 🚨
And y’all… we genuinely do not understand why.
Marley is the kind of dog people call us looking for all the time.
She’s small.
She’s affectionate.
She loves kids.
She likes other dogs.
She’s good with cats.
She’s spayed and vaccinated.
And after 122 days in our care, we can tell you exactly who Marley really is.
❤️ Marley is approximately 2 years old and only 19 pounds. We believe she may be some sort of Jack Russell/Feist-type mix, but your guess is as good as ours. What we do know is that 19 pounds apparently fits perfectly into a human lap, because Marley firmly believes that’s where she belongs.
This girl is a SNUGGLER. If there is a person sitting down, Marley would very much like to be touching that person. Couch? She’s there. Recliner? Absolutely. Kid available for cuddling? Even better.
And speaking of kids — Marley has been fostered in a home with children of different ages and does wonderfully with them. She also lives alongside dogs of all different sizes and cats without issue.
Outside, Marley is an absolute little rockstar. Her recall is AMAZING. She can be let out off-leash in an appropriate safe area, sticks close to her people, and comes running when she’s called. She loves being outside with the kids and then coming back inside to resume her very important job of occupying someone’s lap.
Is she perfect?

Marley considers unattended food a personal invitation and has earned advanced degrees in both Counter Surfing and Trash Excavation. If you leave something delicious within reach, she would like you to understand that you’ve legally forfeited ownership.
She also isn’t 100% house trained yet, although we’re hesitant to even blame Marley for that. She reliably goes potty when she’s taken outside and will head toward the door when she needs to go. In a busy foster home, sometimes her humans simply don’t notice her asking quickly enough. With a consistent routine and someone watching for her cues, we think she’ll do wonderfully.
🐔 One disclaimer: Marley will chase chickens if given the opportunity, so she should not be left unattended around poultry. Again, she does have an amazing recall and will stop and come to you when called.

She has lived in a foster home. We’ve watched her interact with children, cats and multiple dogs. There really aren’t many mysteries with Marley. What you see is what you get — a funny, affectionate, social little dog who wants a family of her own.
And somehow, she’s been waiting 122 days.
For a little 19-pound dog, that’s an awfully long time to be overlooked.
So we’re making it ridiculously easy to choose her.
