I’d like to congratulate all our members that competed this past week with their breeding animals and wish luck to the ones competing this week with their market animals.
We have had some long days and nights preparing for the final show of the year. Many blessings to all and let’s keep making great memories.

Yesterday was another great day for the PSJA District and for PSJA Memorial FFA. Kiddos had a lot of laughs and some blessings.

With our photography entries we had four members place:
Joselynn Garza 6th (Animals and Birds division)
Emilee Rico 2nd (Animals and birds division)
Mia Padron 9th (animals and birds division)
Ysybellah Badillo 10th (Animals and Birds division)

Our Jr Cattle entries placed as follows:

Destiny Espinoza 2nd in her weight division with her Commercial ABC heifer.

Andrew Garza 1st in his class and Reserve Breed Champion with his Registered STAR 5 heifer.

Joselynn Garza 5th in her weight division with her Commercial AOB heifer.

Many blessings to all and may their hard work continue to pay off today and the days to come. Good luck to all our kiddos.

I want to wish all of our FFA kiddos many blessings and luck as they exhibit their projects these next twelve days at the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show. They have spent countless hours preparing for the last show of the season.
March 4th was our first day of entering our photography projects (Leslie Salinas, Mia Padron, Joselynn Garza, Fabian Rivera, Jaylen Lopez, Rylee Rico, Emilee Rico, Ysybellah Badillo, Elian Macias, and Sarahkay Garza) and we wish them luck as they get judged.
Yesterday three of our exhibitors (Andrew Garza, Joselynn Garza, and Destiny Espinoza) checked their heifer projects in to the show and we started the week off with Andrew Garza placing first in his class in the Santa Gertrudis Futurity Show.
Lots of luck to all our kiddos that will be showing today and please stop by and cheer them on.

PSJA Memorial FFA would like to send a special Congratulations to Miss Joselynn Garza for being crowned Miss Alamo Princess 2023! Joselynn currently serves as Vice President and we all know her heifer, Red. Just as your represent our chapter, we know you will proudly represent our wonderful City of Alamo.

Joselynn was joined on stage by another member of our chapter, Miss Victoria Chapa. Victoria just completed her reign as Miss Alamo 2022.

It’s been a week for our PSJA Memorial FFA Officers and members who attended the 94th Texas FFA State Convention in Fort Worth, TX! From team building exercises, key note speakers, and voting in a new set of State officers, this convention was definitely something to see. Can’t wait for next year!
