Welcome to Summer at ABG's Free Seed Libraries!

It's time to turn your beds or containers, work in compost and get planting and our five Free Seed Libraries have just the seeds to help you do it! We will be stocking, cucumbers, beans, zucchini, winter squash, pumpkins, carrots, collard greens, mustard greens, beets, parsley and lettuce. Enough for a delicious bounty this summer. Come visit one of our libraries this summer and take home some great seeds.

It’s that time of year again! Join us for our Spring Plant Sale at the Alameda Rec & Parks’ Spring Shindig, Saturday April 18th from 12-3:00pm (Alameda Point Gym). Our growers are busy tending to their veggie starts, including some specialty/rare peppers, thanks to our latest volunteer John . You can also find the usual tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, herbs, and California Native flowers - all grown for their ability to thrive in our local climate. Hope to see you there!!
