An important message from the AFS team:‍ ‍

For more than 55 years, AFS has been committed to serving every member of our community with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Over the weekend we learned that a member of our Board of Directors publicly expressed personal views via an anonymous social media account that are inconsistent with our values. That individual resigned from the Board, effective immediately.

To our LGBTQIA+ clients, staff, families, and community: we stand in absolute unity with you, today and always. 💚💙💜🩷🧡💛

On May 30, 2026, Dr. Peggy Huber and practicum trainee, Simran Bhatti, represented Alameda Family Services at the Healing Hearts 5K and Health and Wellness Fair. This event highlighted su***de awareness and prevention. They got to mingle with the community as well as share the resources available at Alameda Family Services.

Alameda Family Services is pleased to announce a FREE Diaper & Wipe Distribution Event on June 11th, 2026, from 10 AM to Noon.

We are partnering with The Alameda Food Bank to make receiving diapers easier and more accessible for families.

Our distribution events will now be held at The Alameda Food Bank, at 677 W Ranger Ave, Alameda, CA 94501. Once you submit the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions; please review them carefully.
