Thanks to a solid group of core volunteers, Howl-O-Ween 2014 - Our 10th Annual Pet Parade & Costume Contest, is shaping up to be another fantastic event at the Alameda Small Dog Park! We still need a couple of people to run the sign up table and can always use helpers to hang deco before the event. Let me know if you can help!

Missing Alameda dog! Please share!

Missing Dog Alert! Luna is missing in Alameda, CA. She was last seen Sunday, 1/12, running through Alameda Academy on Pacific St. in Alameda. Luna is 3 years old. Atom (was Jenson) a Black lab hound mix.
last seen around 6pm on January 8th.
Lost at Bancroft and 8th in Berkeley.
He is wearing his collar & Rocket Dog Rescue tag.
He is VERY fearful! But he LOVES other dogs.
He was recently adopted and does not know the area
If you are in Berkeley or close by please help look for him!

Adoption Fees:
Dogs $125.00 / Cats $100 -- include shots, microchip, spay or neuter. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

60/6/60 Adoption Program, Partnering Senior Animals with Senior Friends -- If you are 60 or older and adopt an animal who is 6 or older, you'll get 60% off the adoption fee!

Adoption Process:
Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best match for both you and your new pet. You must be at least 21 years old to adopt a pet. We ask that everyone in the household come to meet the pet and we require proof that you can have a pet where you live. This can be a copy of a lease indicating that you may have a cat or dog, or any document indicating home ownership such as a mortgage statement.

There is a simple adoption application to complete that will help us advise and prepare you for your new pet. If you are adopting a dog and have another dog already, we ask that you bring your dog/dogs to meet the dog you would like to adopt. We offer home adoption counseling visits for any of our dogs and may require it for some dogs.

In the event that more than one interested party wants to adopt an animal on the morning it becomes available, we enter the names of qualified adopters into a random drawing.

BAD RAP Training Bonus:
As an added bonus, when you adopt a blocky-headed dog through BACS, you can attend BAD RAP's weekly training classes for FREE (normal fee $100). These classes are extremely popular and can have a 6+ month waiting list. But, when you adopt from us, you get to skip the wait and start attending classes right away. 17 year old Kona needs a loving foster home....just rescued by Rocket Dog. Can you help, or do you know someone who can?

KONA, the 17 year old collie/lab mix from San Jose arrived with us earlier today! We are so happy that she is safe, and boy is she one fantastic girl. Gentle and loving with each person and dog that she meets!

Kona is NOW in a short term foster situation until we can find something for her. She REALLY needs a place to call home. This precious girl is confused and not sure what's happened. We would just like as little change as possible for her, so the sooner she can be in a stable home, the better.

Please email [email protected] if you can provide a safe, warm loving place for Kona. We promise she is a good girl, and she is not alot of work. Her days consist of eating, a short walk, and napping. She really loves to sleep ;)
