Today, December 12th, would have been the Alameda Family Services League's 50th Alameda Holiday Home Tour, an annual fundraiser for Alameda Family Services. As we look back on this year of unpredictable uncertainty, we are grateful now more than ever for AFS and the programs it continues provide our community.
We have also taken time over the past year to reflect on how best to raise funds for AFS with this ever-changing landscape. This month not only means the end of a calendar year, but the dissolution of the Alameda Family Services League. Alameda Family Services and the AFS Board of Directors will continue to drive fundraising for the agency and, while the future of the Alameda Holiday Home Tour is to be determined, we hope that you continue to support Alameda Family Services by following their page at https://www.facebook.com/AlamedaFS or visiting their website at https://www.alamedafs.org/ and stay tuned for future fundraising opportunities.

As the 49th Annual Alameda Holiday Home Tour becomes a memory, we would be amiss if we did not thank all of those who made the day an incredible success. Thank you to the homeowners, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and guests - your generosity is what makes the Home Tour raise much needed fund for Alameda Family Services. As we crunch numbers and announce in the new year the amount raised, AFS Executive Director, Katherine, and Board members Dani and Kathy - along with the entire Alameda Family Services Board and Alameda Family Services League - thank you for your support and and wish you and yours the happiest of holidays!

Today is the day! The sun is shining, homes look stunning and Elks Lodge is brimming with wonderful treats and gifts!

'Twas the night before the Home Tour and all through the Isle
Alameda Family Services League members were smiling, it had been a while.
A whole year had passed since the last Alameda Holiday Home Tour day
And this year, the 49th fundraiser, was just hours away.
Homeowners were hanging stockings and checking their decor,
wondering to themselves if they need just one decoration more.
Tea volunteers were prepping the sandwiches and treats,
Docents were searching for colorful socks to wear on their feet.
The Gourmet Shop looked stunning with goodies all packaged pretty
and the Holiday Boutique had enough festive wears to decorate every house in the city.
Almost two dozen Boutique vendors including Monsoon Dreams and Greetings from Pearl
were gearing up for buyers - ticketholders and not - who were ready to give holiday shopping a whirl.
So as excited guests rest their eyes before the 49th Annual Alameda Holiday Home Tour event,
Remember Alameda Family Services' children, teens, and families are the true winners of every penny spent.

Guests will follow their heart as the Alameda Family Services League presents “49 Years of Holiday Magic” Alameda Holiday Home Tour. The Holiday Home Tour will feature a variety of Alameda’s architectural style homes decorated for the holidays.

Just two days until the 49th Annual Alameda Holiday Home Tour but only 24 hours left to buy tickets at the pre-sale price! Online ticket sales close at 8pm sharp on Friday, December 13th.

Tickets will be available for purchase the day of the tour for $45 at the Alameda Elks Lodge, 2255 Santa Clara Avenue between 9am-3:30pm on 12/14/2019 (cash, check and credit card accepted)

It's beginning to look a lot like the Alameda Ho-Ho-Holiday Home Tour! In three days, the jolly old elf himself will be making an appearance at a home or two on the tour and can't wait to see you there!

Four days to go and weather reports look fantastic for Saturday! In addition to dressing for beautiful Bay Area weather, be sure to wear socks as homes are shoe-free this year (stay tuned for a sneak peak of the swag every guest will use and take home to hold their shoes while visiting homes). Festive attire is welcome!

The countdown continues as there are only 5 days until this year's tour! If your day isn't quite full enough, everyone (ticket holder or not) is welcome to head on down to the Alameda Elks Lodge #1015 from 9-3:30 and check folks off of their holiday list with treats at the Gourmet Shop, unique handcrafted items at the Holiday Boutique, and enter for a chance to win fantastic raffle prizes from a day sailing on the bay and Warriors tickets to local gift cards and fine handbags. The Elks Lodge is also "Tour Central" where you are welcome to purchase (and pick up) tickets the day of the tour. See you there!

Six days until this year's tour and another sneak peak at one of the beautiful homes on the tour. This Victorian was meticulously renovated by the current homeowner inside and out. He used 8 hues of paint and 600 sheets of gold leaf on the exterior alone, all hand painted and applied by the homeowner himself!
