What a fun way to help support the Raider Regiment!!!

Come out to High Springs Brewery on Wednesday, September 16, from 6-8pm for Bingo!!

There are some amazing prizes from local businesses and will be some yummy goodies at a bake sale!

Yesterday was an amazing day getting ready for our first home game and cheering on our Raiders!

We performed at the pep rally that our amazing student government put on! Students participated in some fun games and even a watermelon eating contest! Band kids rocked it!

Then we prepped for our first home Friday night lights!! Our Santa Fe Raiders Football got another win under their belt with a final score of 51 to 6!!

We finally got to march our full opener on the field and we can’t wait to do it again!

Thank you Little Caesars Alachua for feeding the band kids!

We will continue building on to our 2026 show in the next few weeks and are excited to show it off at the next game!

The Raider Regiment family is heartbroken by the passing of our dear friend, Miss Ella Williams. ❤️

Miss Ella first became part of our band family while Shaiyeed, affectionately known as “Pookie,” was in the program, but her love and support didn’t end when he graduated. For nearly a decade, she continued giving her time, energy and heart to our students, staff, parents and directors.

She was a helping hand, a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. Her kindness touched so many lives, and the Raider Regiment is better because she was part of it.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, we hope to give back to the family of a woman who gave so much to ours. A fundraiser has been established to help with Miss Ella’s funeral expenses. Any contribution is deeply appreciated.

We love you, Miss Ella. Thank you for loving our band family so well. You will be greatly missed. ❤️

What an amazing first game for the Santa Fe Raiders Football and for the Raider Regiment!!!

The weather finally cooperated and the Raiders walked away with a HUGE win over Newberry!

Thank you to Deeper Purpose CC Official for feeding the band before they traveled to the game! The food was a hit and we are so grateful for your support!!!

While we weren’t able to do the drill to our show (due to the previous weeks weather), we had an amazing stand still performance and loved watching Newberry Performance Ensembles perform too!!

We can’t wait for this Friday as we cheer on the Raiders at our home field!!

Congratulations to one of our former band directors, the one who gave us the Raider Regiment name and began our legacy, on her induction into the Central States Judges Association (CSJA) Hall of Fame!!

During her time leading the Raider Regiment Marching Band at Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Florida, she helped build the program into one of the most successful and respected band programs in the state.

Under her leadership, the Raider Regiment earned six Florida Marching Band Championships (FMBC) state titles between 1999 and 2005!

Congratulations and thank you for your dedication to the Raider Regiment!!

CSJA Hall of Fame Inductee — Kathy Lavay-Turner

On Saturday, August 8th, CSJA proudly inducted Kathy Lavay-Turner into the CSJA Hall of Fame in recognition of her outstanding contributions and 21 years of dedicated service to the organization.

Kathy is a highly respected music educator and longtime high school band director whose career has made a lasting impact on students, educators, and the marching arts. During her time leading the Raider Regiment Marching Band at Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Florida, she helped build the program into one of the most successful and respected band programs in the state.

Under her leadership, the Raider Regiment earned six Florida Marching Band Championships (FMBC) state titles between 1999 and 2005, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects her dedication to excellence, musicianship, and student success.

Beyond her accomplishments on the field, Kathy has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to music education and professional leadership. Her 21 years of service to CSJA are a testament to the impact she has had on the organization and the people she has served.

Congratulations, Kathy, on this well-deserved honor!

Thank you for your leadership, your service, and the lasting difference you have made in music education.

Mother nature may have prevented us from performing and cheering on our Raiders, but she didn’t prevent us from having an amazing time together while we waited for the weather to clear!!

Next week we will try again as we travel to Newberry for the first official game of the season!

A HUGE thank you to Little Caesar’s of Alachua for feeding our kids before every home game!!! Your support means so much!!

Band Camp 2026 is officially complete!!

We finished with Wacky Wednesday, Staff Day Thursday, and Tropical Friday!

At the end of camp yesterday we had our annual water balloon extravaganza and then welcomed families for a potluck before showing off what we have been working so hard on for the past two weeks!

The progress that occurred over the two weeks of band camp was amazing and we can’t wait to get to our regular season rehearsals and performances starting the first day of school on Monday!

Thank you to our band director Jacob Basil , our staff, boosters, parents, friends, and of course the kids for an amazing camp!

Back to work on Monday!
