Hailey Smith and Dallas O’Brien helped present the 13 Folds of the American Flag at American Village’s Sweet Home 250 event today. Both did a wonderful job and enjoyed the festivities as well.

Scouts have returned from Summer Camp 2026 at Spanish Trails Scout Reservation. They battled heat, humidity, lots and lots of rain, and even rain bands from Tropical Storm Arthur. Scouts attempted 21 merit badges this week and completed 10. One scout took the NRA Rifle Course and earned the highest rank, becoming the second scout at the camp to achieve this accomplishment. Due to the weather and rough seas, our deep-sea fishing trip got canceled. But we pivoted and explored Destin, played a round of Putt-Putt, and arcade games before returning to camp for the closing campfire. Now it's time to unwind and dry out for a couple of days before our next amazing adventure.

This month, Scouting America Troop 1120G is blasting off into adventure as we work on the Astronomy ⭐ and Space Exploration 🚀 Merit Badges!

Scouts will:

🌙 Learn how the night sky moves
🛰 Discover how rockets and satellites work
👨‍🚀 Dive into the history and future of space exploration

And the best part?
🏕️ We’re capping it off with a campout and a special trip to a planetarium for an immersive journey through the cosmos!
