For this virtual Sunday Brunch with Tuesday Musical, the Tuesday Musical Brahms Allegro Junior Music Club presents sisters Saya and Lina Johannesson! The girls shared their musical talents with an appreciative crowd at the September program for Tuesday Musical members. "Dolly’s Dreaming and Awakening, Op. 202, No. 4." by Theodor Oesten was the piece from Lina, the younger sister who performs first in the video. Saya played Friedrich Burgmüller's "Agitato, Op.109, No. 8." Both girls are members of the junior music club, which provides a relaxed atmosphere that helps young musicians become more comfortable performing for people.

Sweater time for Sunday Brunch with Tuesday Musical today! But we have the music that will take the chill out for our virutal meet up! Northeast Ohio avid percussionist and music educator Peter Loferski plays the "Gigue from Lute Suite in E Minor, BMV 996" by Johann Sebastian Bach at a recent Tuesday Musical Members Program. Peter is the 2018 and 2022 recipient of Tuesday Musical’s Larry D. Snider Scholarship in Marimba/Classical Steel Pan, awarded at the annual scholarship competition in Akron.

Thank you to our talented musicians who performed at the October Tuesday Musical Members Program! We have amazing ties to these artists. Far right is percussionist and music educator Peter Loferski who was awarded the 2018 and 2022 Tuesday Musical Dr. Larry D. Snider Scholarship. He played the marimba for the program. Then we have the members of OPUS 216, a Northeast Ohio string ensemble with a mission to bring music to communities in diverse settings: left to right, violinist Ariel Karas, violinist Victor Beyes, cellist Katarina Elise and violist Brian Slawta. Opus 14 has worked with Tuesday Musical to present our amazing Decompression Chamber program! Launched in 2017, the series brings free, 45-minute concerts by chamber musicians to staff and clients at social service agencies, factories, hospitals, government offices and other high-pressure sites. We had it all for the October Tuesday Musical Members Program at the Summit Metro Parks' Coventry Oaks Lodge! A French "gigue" dance by Bach, Vivaldi, tangos, the constellations and a marimba! Virtual Sunday Brunch with Tuesday Musical plus a side of Beethoven lore! International pianist, recording artist and educator Caroline Oltmanns performed the Allegro con brio movement of Beethoven's "Waldstein Sonata" for the Tuesday Musical Members Program in September. She started by sharing with the audience that Beethoven had no hearing when he wrote the composition that is probably his most celebrated. Caroline is a Professor of Piano at Youngstown State University.
