Tuesday Musical is proud to present a flutist with flair, Dylan Masariego, who won the top scholarship prize for the Tuesday Musical 2026 Winners/Final Round Concert at The University of Akron in May. They were invited to compete by winning the second place Ann, Emily & Jeffrey Gleason/Travis & Caitlin Rea Scholarship for woodwinds in the Tuesday Musical 2026 Annual Scholarship Competition earlier in the year, also at The University of Akron. Dylan played "Fantaisie pour flute et piano" by Georges Hüe. Their accompanist was Grace Betry. They are a contemporary-classical flutist and orchestral piccolo player, earning a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory and is currently pursuing a master’s degree.

Ahhhh....

In the midst of final exams week, Kent State University students, faculty, and friends gathered tonight in the beautiful Higbee Gallery of the Kent State University Museum for our free Decompression Chamber performance.

Building on the museum's fabulous “Sparkle: The Style and Jewelry of Aileen Mehle" exhibition, the program combined music by the always-wonderful OPUS 216, wellness activities, and glittering fashion. Bonus: KSU fashion design major Cole Skillman — also a cellist — introduced OPUS 216.

A big shout out to Sarah Spinner, Director of the Kent State University Museum, and KSU's Counseling & Psychological Services and Kent State Center for Student Involvement.

We are excited to bring our Decompression Chamber to this fashionable venue!
