Ministry Team Member Spotlight - Meet Ron!

01/22/2026

As a part of Bible Study, we all share a meal together! Sometimes, the most powerful conversations we get to have are at the table. Please pray for the relationships that are formed in Bible Study and that God would use our conversations to draw people to Himself.

Prayer Focus: Freedom in Christ

Please take a moment to pray with us for our homeless friends. Many struggle with addiction, trauma, and mental illness. We want to see them set free from the power of these things and believe that Jesus is able to do this mighty work. We also want to pray that our homeless friends would receive the freedom that Jesus has already offered, freedom from sin. This is the greatest freedom that we could receive since things like addiction, trauma, and mental illness are all temporary and will quickly fade into the backdrop of eternity, but being bound to sin and separated from God will be a reality forever. Pray that those we reach would be open to receiving Jesus, the one who sets us free from our sin, allows us to be at peace with God, justifies us before Him, and even gives us the privilege of spending eternity in His presence.

"So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death." Romans 8:1-2 NLT

Last month, one of the men in Bible Study was upset that we only had a few Bibles floating around and that some of them were different versions. He said that he wanted so badly to follow along and understand, but that this was making it difficult for him. What a great problem to have! Someone desires to be in God's Word! We are so thankful for . They donated a set of Bibles for all of us to use so that we can be on the same page and engaged during our study. The men were so excited to receive this wonderful gift. Praise God for how He is working and moving! If you are interested in serving with our Bible Study program, another program area, or would like to help meet another practical need, please reach out to [email protected].

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Hope Landing! Here are some pictures from our Bible Study Christmas Celebration. We heard testimonies of what the Lord has done and sang Christmas Hymns centered around the themes of Transformation, Faith, and Surrender. Of course, we shared a wonderful meal together as well! As you celebrate Christmas and Jesus coming to earth this year, let these lyrics help you to set your heart on Him.

Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King"

Please be praying for the health and safety of our homeless friends who are staying outside this winter. Please pray that they would come to know and surrender their lives to Jesus. Our only true and lasting hope can be found in what Jesus says to his followers here in John...

John 14:1-7
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”

5 “No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. 7 If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”
