Building Blocks: Foundation Update 3
Progress continues to move forward on our new space! 🏢

This week, we successfully passed both our plumbing inspection and electrical inspection. We’re now waiting on the mechanical company to secure their permit and inspection—since the mechanical and framing inspections are conducted together by the same inspector, both must be completed before we can move forward with drywall.

In the meantime, our team completed one side of most of the remaining walls to keep momentum going. We’ve also had our data company and security company on-site working hard, with completion for both anticipated next week.

Every inspection passed and every system installed brings us closer to home. Thanks for following along as we build this space—one milestone at a time!

Our Path Forward - From Vision to Action: Building Momentum, One Step at a Time

Big things are happening at Trailhead Community Foundation! Our board committees are actively meeting across the region, and our Strategic Planning Committee is just about a month away from finalizing a plan to improve health outcomes right here in our communities.

We recently helped 90 seniors at a Wadsworth event share their voices through our strategic planning survey — every perspective helps shape a stronger future. 🙌

We’re also growing! Welcome to Anthony Nyende, our new Grants Manager, and Stephanie Slovasky, our new Controller — both bringing incredible nonprofit finance expertise to the team.

And exciting news: our new Akron office is taking shape, on track to open for our first anniversary this October 1st!

Building Blocks: Foundation Update #2
This week marked another big step forward in bringing our new space to life! 🔨

All door frames have arrived and are fully installed. We’ve also made great progress on the walls—drywall is up on one side of the majority of them, and mudding is now underway throughout the space.

On the administrative side, our job permit has been received, and our subcontractors are pulling their individual permits and preparing to call for inspections.

Every wall and every permit brings us one step closer to a home for our mission. Stay tuned for more updates as construction continues!
