Keys to Freedom: A Community Art Experience

In celebration of Juneteenth, join artist Robert Reza Greer Sr. for an interactive community art experience exploring freedom, reflection, and personal growth.

📍Third floor of our building, 2-5 pm.

Participants will be invited to create a key representing something they are ready to release, reclaim, or unlock in their lives.

Inspired by six themes—Truth, Healing, Clarity, Perspective, Story, and Becoming—each key will become part of a collective installation celebrating the many ways freedom can take shape.

As part of the experience, participants will also receive a key of inspiration to take with them as a reminder of the possibilities ahead.

No artistic experience is required. All ages are welcome.

Summit Artspace will be open during our regular public hours, Noon to 5 pm on Friday.

Looking for another chance to experience the power of rhythm and community?

Join two of our NEOHAA leadership team members, Maseh Nchang and Sarah Zena Swirsky, this Saturday at 2:00 for a special Music + Movement session during the Magic City Music & Arts Festival in Barberton. The experience will feature live music AND a beginner-friendly community drum circle.

NEW SUMMER MUSIC THERAPY GROUPS!
Registration is now open for our July Music & Social Skills Groups!
These small-group music therapy experiences are designed for autistic children who would benefit from opportunities to connect with peers, build confidence, explore self-expression, and practice regulation skills through music.
Little Music Makers (Ages 4–7)
Thursdays: July 2, 9, 16, & 23
4:30–5:00 PM
The Rhythm Crew (Ages 8–12)
Thursdays: July 2, 9, 16, & 23
5:15–6:00 PM
First Congregational Church of Akron
Led by a board-certified music therapist Small groups (3–5 participants)
Early Bird Pricing available through June 13!
These groups are designed to honor each child’s unique strengths, communication style, and sensory needs while providing opportunities for connection and shared music-making.
