Heart to Heart Leadership exists to cultivate purposeful and passionate leaders and teams.

At the Center for Immersive Leadership, we know that everyone is on a leadership journey…

Our purpose is to partner with you on this journey to cultivate purpose-driven, values-based, community-minded leadership. For 30+ years, we have inspired and developed the heart of leaders at any career stage who have potential to grow, aptitude to lead and capacity to build strong relationships. We focus o

n individuals and workplace teams by offering personalized programming, coaching, and consultation services to individuals and organizations. We provide a leadership training pathway that focuses on looking within to discover and develop the characteristics and strengths that enable individuals to follow a higher calling to lead beyond in organizational and community life, while bringing along others to also experience greater impact.

Meet Carlos! Carlos is the Director of Conservation at the Akron Zoo and was in Expedition 10 of Purposeful Leadership. his passion for protecting wildlife and wild places allows him to connect with audiences locally and around the world. This is what Carlos has to say about his Purposeful Leadership Experience:

What part of your work right now feels most meaningful to you?
Seeing our program grow in all fronts. I just hit my two-year anniversary with Akron Zoo and the Conservation Department is making strides thanks to the support of everyone at the zoo.

What competencies from the Purposeful Leadership Program are you finding most helpful?
The ability to lead with purpose and act with intent. Making sure I listen to understand.

What was your favorite part about the Purposeful Leadership Program?
The morning meditation and breathing sessions. It has worked for me to this day as a method of grounding myself daily and setting up the pace for the day.

What an inspiring morning at the 33rd Annual Heart to Heart Leadership Breakfast!

This year’s gathering carried special meaning as we shared the next chapter for Heart to Heart Leadership and celebrated the heart, purpose, and values that continue to unite this Greater Akron community many of us call home.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us, supported us, sponsored the event, and helped make the morning so memorable. Your belief in purpose-driven and values-based leadership fuels the work we do every day.

A special thank you to our guest presenter, Christine Mayer, for sharing her insight, wisdom, and heart. Her leadership in her life and in this community continue to inspire so many.

Thank you as well to Jayda Lyric Blackmon who closed the morning with a beautiful rendition of You Say by Lauren Daigle. It was a powerful and heartfelt ending to a truly meaningful event.

As Heart to Heart Leadership moves forward, we are excited for what’s ahead and grateful to walk into this next chapter alongside all of you.
