So, what does “pray without ceasing” look like? (1 Thessalonians 5)
Walking with Jesus is not like going to an amusement park with him. Us running off to the next eye catching attraction, then coming back together to move onto the next thing.
It is rather, at its inception, an arduous three legged cross country trek where we are tied at the ankle to our Savior. We fall down frequently at first when we try to walk when Jesus is not, and we stop when he is running!
The ensuing rhythm allows us to ultimately feel the slightest twitch of Christs big toe, indicating it’s time to move or stop.
Eventually the rope is no longer necessary and we have the physical manifestation of “praying without ceasing”. And while the terrain is promised to be arduous, we are one with our savior, Jesus Christ!
Lord help is to remain lashed to you!
