Established in 1976; members are leading professionals and community volunteers residing in Ohio The Links, Incorporated, founded in 1946, is one of the oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. The Kent Area (OH) Chapter was established in June 1976 and its members are leading professionals and community volunteers residing in Ohio's Portage, Stark, Summit, Geauga and Medina counties.

Since 1946, the women of The Links, Incorporated have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to friendship, service, and strengthening our communities.
Civic engagement is an important part of that legacy. Generations before us worked tirelessly to expand access to the ballot and ensure that our voices could be heard.
With just three weeks until Election Day, now is the time to prepare!

Celebrating 50 golden years of friendship, service, and impact!

Please note our new date and save the date for the Kent Area (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated’s 11th Annual Friendship Luncheon on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 10 AM.

As we commemorate our Golden Anniversary, we’re delighted to welcome Emmy-nominated 19 News anchor Shannon Smith as emcee!

The Kent Area (OH) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and Chapter President Tanya Watson were jointly recognized with the Trailblazer Organization Award of Distinction by the NCNW Cuyahoga County Section.

This honor reflects the dedication, service, and collective impact of our members.
