A Simple Wish, and a Chance to Make It Come True

We're hoping to find a kind-hearted volunteer for a very special request.

One of our individuals, who lives at a long-term care nursing facility here in Hudson, has one simple wish: to spend some peaceful time fishing at the pond on the property. Due to his health, he's no longer able to go alone — but with a little help, he could enjoy something he loves once again.

We're looking for someone who enjoys fishing and would be willing to spend about an hour, once or twice a week, sitting by the water with him. It's a small commitment that could mean the world to him — good company, fresh air, and the simple joy of a line in the water.

If this sounds like something you'd love to do, please give our office a call at 330-812-3840. We'll connect you with his guardian, Christine, who can share more details and answer any questions.

Meet the Team — Welcome, Alana!

We are SO excited to introduce one of the newest members of the AGS family — Alana Justice, Director of Clinical Services!

Alana is a proud military mom 🇺🇸 who has truly been around the world and back — and we are so grateful she has found her way home to Summit County and to US!

Her clinical expertise and compassionate heart are already making a difference for the most medically complex and frail individuals in our care, and we could not be more thrilled to have her on our team.

At AGS, having guardians and staff with a clinical eye means our most vulnerable community members get the level of care, advocacy, and attention they deserve — and Alana brings exactly that.

Summit County — please join us in giving Alana the warmest welcome!

AGS is sad to report our Executive Director, Carla Bayonnet, will be retiring at the end of July. In her time with AGS, Carla has done great work promoting Adult Guardianship Services and the individuals we serve. We are grateful for all of the hard work and passion for helping people Carla has given to the AGS mission.

Carla - we are sad to lose you, but we are so excited for you to embark on this next step. Plus, we're happy you'll remain a volunteer guardian! Thank you for all you've done.
