We recently lost a beloved member of our volunteer guardian family, a quiet, steady, and deeply compassionate man who embodied everything a guardian is meant to be.
He showed up month after month, year after year, for a ward who had no one else. He sat with this individual, advocated for him, and made sure he was never truly alone in this world.
That is the gift of a volunteer guardian. And he gave it generously, without fanfare, without recognition — simply because it was the right thing to do.
To his family — thank you for sharing him with us and with the vulnerable adult who was so fortunate to have him in their corner. The love and steadiness he brought to this work is a reflection of the person you knew and loved every day. We are so grateful.
Rest easy, guardian. Your ward was lucky to have you.
