Help!! They say when you need help to say something so we are asking for help. We need help getting an ac unit on our roof.The roof is 13 ft in the air and the unit would have to go in about 3 ft. I'm told a large tow truck with a boom could do it possibly. The old unit is up there as well and would need to come down. The unit is already disconnected and ready to be lifted off and the new one dropped right on it. They are identical units so we would only need help just getting the unit up there we have people that will do the connection. I'm guessing maybe 20 minutes at most of somebody's time. If you can't help please share this maybe somebody can. It would be great to do this I'm possibly a Sunday so that we could have it hooked right up. It's not "enjoy the long weekend" It's remember why we have one.
This weekend isn't about BBQs. It's about silence. Sacrifice. Empty boots and folded flags.
Somewhere, a mother still sets a dinner plate that never gets used. A child grows up knowing their hero only through stories. A wife clutches dog tags instead of hands.
We don't get freedom by accident. It was bought-paid for with blood, with lives, with futures never lived.
So before the burgers hit the grill, pause. Remember. And teach your kids what this weekend really means.
