Good Neighbors, Inc Since 1957, Good Neighbors has been helping those in need with emergency food and clothing. Good Neighbors, Inc. Form 990 is filed with the IRS annually.

is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We continue to meet all 20 Better Business Bureau standards for Charity Accountability. Good Neighbors has one part time employee and more than 300 volunteers who operate locations in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Ellet, Green and Tallmadge. Since 1957, Good Neighbors has been helping those in need with food and clothing. Some of our units offer persona

l care supplies, household items, layettes, diapers, pet food, back to school supplies and Christmas gifts. We rely on donations and financial contributions from individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, civic and social organizations. Donations and financial contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Please specify which Good Neighbors location you would like your donation to benefit. Thank you to our Goodyear Heights Food Center Volunteers for working on Monday and Tuesday this week to serve those in need.
In 2025, our food center volunteers gave 16,110 hours to serve more than 12,481 families (43,780 individuals) during the 573 hours that we were open.
So our volunteers can spend time with their families, our food center will be closed from December 24th through January 4th.

The volunteers at our 6 locations serve more than 2,000 families every month.

So far, Firestone High School, NIHF Stem School Student Council, Akron Early College Student Council, McEbright CLC and Rimer CLC have held food drives for us!
