The Virabrations Project.'s 2013 collaboration with Off the Mat, Into the World™ in their 2013 Global Seva Challenge for indigenous, environmental, and human rights in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest has officially ended. We began this journey on a quest for justice, setting out to bring to light the fact that oil contamination, deforestation, and unsustainable industrial development had plagued this wondrous land and its people. What the year turned out to be was an immense learning experience as we were challenged physically and mentally in ways we did not even know were possible. By helping to heal the Amazon Rainforest we somehow helped heal ourselves a bit in the process, creating two women who are incredibly excited to continue our to quest to promote equality and love through social justice work! In 2014, the virabrations project. will shift its focus to concentrate on our local food systems but the Amazon will remain a part of our hearts (and we have a feeling we will re-visit this important cause in the future). We would like to extend immense gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped us along this last year through donations, conversation, and awareness building. You all exemplified your warrior strength to help protect the Amazon Rainforest! We would like to extend a special thank you to Rebecca F. Rogers, Gaby Haiber, Dorrie Shambo, R.d. Hanger, Hillary Buckler, Helga Baumgartner, Bernd Buchberger, Bernhard Schauerr, Constanze Huber, Simeon Soul Charger, Cindy Robertson, Cindy Gardiner, Karia Nelson Lanken, Mickie Hobbs , Vi Schindlbeck, Christina Bauer, Mahendra Myshkin, Anne Schlösser, Pia Ge**er, Naturgarten Schönegge, Markus and Martina Hiller, Monika Althaus, and to all the people who graciously donated to our fundraising campaign or supported our efforts along the way. ♥
