We’re excited to share that Akron Sneaker Academy has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Maynard Family Foundation to support the continued growth of our Saving Soles program! 👟❤️
As a first-time grantee, we are incredibly grateful to join a legacy of investment in organizations working to create a more vibrant and healthy Greater Akron—where every resident has opportunities to live, work, grow, and be enriched.
This investment will help us expand Saving Soles, our sneaker restoration experience that uses sneaker culture as a pathway to social-emotional learning, identity, positive decision-making, STEM exposure, and youth violence prevention.
We are deeply honored by the Maynard Family Foundation’s belief in our work and grateful for the opportunity to carry forward the spirit of Phil Maynard’s legacy of service and investment in Greater Akron.
