Today is more than another year for Guy’s & Gal’s Community Partnership, Inc. (GGCPINC). Today represents a decade of purpose, perseverance, relationships, community impact, and a legacy that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

But for me, 10/10 is deeply personal.

My father, Albert Moss Sr., was born on October 10. Coop was also born on October 10. Growing up, my father recognized that special connection and affectionately referred to Coop as his “birthday Guy.” ❤️

Little did I know how meaningful that connection would become over time.

My father’s entrepreneurial spirit and legacy began with Guy’s & Gal’s International Hair Care Solutions. Through time, vision, and purpose, that legacy evolved into Guy’s & Gal’s Community Partnership, Inc. The name changed, but the heart of service continued.

And Coop… your legacy continues, too. 🙏🏾🏀

What began as a personal connection between two birthdays has become a powerful reminder of how family, friendship, love, and purpose can live on through service to others. Every year, Hoop For Coop gives us another opportunity to honor Kimyata D. Cooper Jr's life while continuing the work of promoting health, wellness, and opportunity for our youth, men, and families.

To my father, , thank you for the foundation, the example, and the legacy. To Coop, , thank you for the memories, the inspiration, and the purpose that continues to bring people together.

To every board member, volunteer, community partner, sponsor, donor, parent, young person, and supporter who has been part of this journey: THANK YOU! You are part of this story. Your belief in the mission has helped GGCPINC continue to show up, serve, and make a difference, one family at a time. None of this happens alone, and I am genuinely grateful for every person who has walked alongside us.

Ten years ago, we officially began this chapter as a nonprofit. Today, we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us while continuing to build something meaningful for those who will come after us.

10 years of service.
10 years of community.
10 years of Hoop For Coop.
10 years of legacy.
10/10 — two birthdays connected by family, friendship, and purpose. ❤️

The legacy lives on. The mission continues.

🔥☀️ 2026 GGCPINC SUMMER PROGRAMMING IS OFFICIALLY IN THE BOOKS! ☀️🔥

This was a pretty dope summer!

Over the past two months, I have had the privilege of working alongside an amazing group of youth and young adults who inspired me to become a better version of myself. They have blessed my life more than they will ever know, and I am truly grateful for every moment we shared.

This summer, our mission was clear: to empower our youth through learning, leadership, workforce readiness, personal growth, community engagement, and by living out our 7 Principles every single day. Together, we learned, grew, challenged ourselves, and created memories that will last a lifetime. 💪🏾📚🌟

🔥☀️ 2 WEEKS OF SUMMER PROGRAMMING IN THE BOOKS! ☀️🔥

What an AMAZING journey it has been so far through the Guy's & Gal's Community Partnership Inc. (GGCPINC) Workforce Development Program and Summer Enrichment Program!

For the past two weeks, our youth and young adults have been learning, growing, building leadership skills, developing workforce readiness, exploring new opportunities, and living out our 7 Principles every single day! 💪🏾📚🌟

🏀 It takes a village, and what an incredible village we had at the 9th Annual Hoop For Coop Men's Health Fair & Basketball Tip-Off!

THANK YOU to all of our amazing vendors, community partners, and supporters who came together to provide resources, education, wellness services, and opportunities for our community. Your presence helped make this event more than a basketball tournament—it became a day of connection, empowerment, and impact.

Special thanks to the Akron Fire Department and Akron Police Department for showing up, engaging with families, building relationships, and helping create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in attendance. Your commitment to serving our community does not go unnoticed.

From health screenings and community resources to fellowship and fun, each vendor and partner played an important role in making this event a success. Together, we are creating stronger, healthier communities and honoring the legacy of Coop through service and unity.
