These women saw the need for a service-minded organization dedicated to serving the community. From their bridge group sprung what is today JWCC. JWCC's projects support community agencies in the areas of Art, Education, Health, and Women and Children's issues. The Club's active, sustaining, and associate members dedicate thousands of hours annually to more than 20 service organizations. Community

groups supported by JWCC include: Akron Children's Hospital, Hospice/VNS, Haven of Rest, Ronald McDonald House of Akron, ACCESS, Urban Vision, Battered Women's Shelter of Akron, Victim's Assistance and Children's Services Board. Through hard work and volunteer hours, JWCC members foster lasting friendships that continue to grow through our many social and fundraising events. JWCC is proud of its' accomplishments and strives to continually uphold the purpose and ideals that our founders envisioned.
