We never know how many people are truly reading these posts. We’ll never know how many people have been touched by Laura’s story and messages. We’ll never be able to understand the impact she had on the world during her brief time on earth. Nor will we ever comprehend the weight of losing her across the spaces she spent her time and the people she met along the way. The ripples that her life and death have sent into the universe are still felt today.

We DO know that Laura wanted this reminder shared on the 18th of the month — your health day, your self breast exam day. And because of this….We DO know that many of you have reported catching cancer early enough to be treated. We DO know of friends, family and strangers who have implemented small habits and routines, to better their wellness. We DO know that early detection saves lives. We DO know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed in your lifetime. We DO know that advocacy works. We DO know that cancer diagnoses are happening younger and younger. We DO know that your health and life, matter.
•••
If this is your first time seeing a post or you’ve been following for years, check your breasts today. Make a note to call the doctor, and then follow through. Ask the hard questions. Whatever you’ve been putting off when it comes to your health, it’s time. If you needed a sign, here it is 💫

LUCK 🍀
•••
Lots of life’s happenings are referred to as being lucky or unlucky, as there is so much (sometimes too much) that is out of our control.
•••
Laura taught us how to control what we can. March 18th is 💕Laura Day💞 and another monthly reminder to get your self breast exam in. It only takes minutes and can truly save your life. Advocate for the testing you want, the doctor you want, the treatment you want, in every situation. If you need help taking the first step, please send us a message. You are not alone.
•••
You will never be able to control it all, but you can take charge of this. Monthly exams, small changes in your wellness routine, sharing this message and of course, sprinkling love everywhere you go. One thing is for certain, how lucky we all are to have Laura guiding us through as we carry on, remembering her remarkable beauty in every way one can be beautiful…just waiting to see her again 🍀 🕊️ 🌈

Love, sweet love.
•••
Everyday we make thousands of decisions. Most are small, some are large, all of it matters. This time of year is a good reminder to root everything you do in love.
Love for yourself. Love for your people.
Love for the world.
•••
Loving yourself means advocating for your health, wellness and quality of life. This means something different to every single person. But today is Laura Day — your day to reflect on these things and make some decisions, large and small, to move in the right direction. Maybe it’s a wellness routine you’ve been meaning to lock in on, or a doctor’s appointment you’ve delayed scheduling. Maybe you have a question that you need answered or a feeling in your gut, that you need to get something checked. Root yourself in love for the life you are living and for the people who love you most. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and your superpower against that is self advocacy. Laura taught us how. Make a decision to choose yourself.
•••
It takes 5 minutes, that’s all. Choose love. Happy Laura Day 💕

New year. New you? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe you’re ready for a fresh start, new goals, ideas and the capacity to begin again. Maybe you’re just grateful you survived 2025. Maybe you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be and that’s enough. Maybe the new year doesn’t feel new at all. Perhaps you feel a little lost. Each step carrying weight you never expected or asked for.
•••
No matter where you’re at as the calendar continues to march forward, we want to validate and encourage you in that space. We’re simply here to remind you of your inherent value. Your existence matters to all of us and sets in motion so many ripples on earth that are only here because you are.
•••
Today is the 18th and Laura Day — it’s time for your self breast exam. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Early detection saves lives. If this habit has found a rhythm in your life, we are so glad and know that Laura’s message will continue to change lives. Tell someone you love about Laura Day!

New Year. Take care of you. Happy Laura Day 💕

I was listening to a podcast yesterday. The grieving person was describing how they learned to live with their grief and not let the weight of the sadness stop them from truly living. The person said this: “You just have to live with the truth. And the truth is, her life is what identified her, not her death.”
•••
This page is dedicated to Laura’s mission of sharing her knowledge, championing self advocacy, reminding everyone to schedule their mammogram and do a self breast exam once a month. But there was so much more to Laura…
•••
Laura was vibrant. Everything she did and said was with a vibrant, passionate spirit. She loved deeply, thought deeply, cared deeply, laughed deeply (that snort), prayed deeply and left a little sparkle everywhere she went. These things just scratch the surface of the person she was and the impact she made. A mother, wife, daughter, friend, cousin, granddaughter, Aunt Godmother, supporter of so many things. Smart, crass, funny, compassionate, energetic, meticulous, ridiculous, honest…the list goes on.
•••
Thank you for giving us this space to share who Laura was and always will be. We hope you have found helpful reminders and moments of inspiration to be the healthiest version of yourself.
•••
Wishing you a vibrant and passionate 2026.
Happy Laura Day 💕

Grateful for this body. Grateful for this life.
•••
Nobody showed gratitude like Laura did. Thank you notes, letters, phone calls, text messages, shout outs. The way she loved friends and strangers alike. Gratitude was a main focus in Laura’s life and if she was grateful for something for someone, everybody knew it.
•••
Gratitude can be easy for some and difficult for others. November, especially, can bring up lots of reminders for reasons to be grateful. Sometimes in grief or during a hard time, gratitude can be hard to find. Our hope is that with Laura‘s guidance, you can find reasons to be grateful. If nothing else, be thankful for the body that you are alive in right now. In its flaws, in its sicknesses, in its weaknesses. You are alive inside your body. You may feel at times that it has failed you, but mostly, your body has endured every physical and emotional shattering, healing, pain, growth, illness, misstep, success and celebration from the moment you took your first breath. It has carried you through everything to date.
•••
On this Laura day and every day, we encourage you to take care of your physical and emotional well-being. More specifically, get your mammogram scheduled and give yourself a self breast exam. There are tools and resources to navigate the world of healthcare, and Laura told us how to utilize nearly all of them. Message us with questions!
•••
Grateful for this body. Grateful for this life.
Happy Laura Day 💕

Little signs everywhere…
•••
If you are open to something bigger than our human existence, then you have probably experienced a feeling that is hard to describe. “Little signs”, “God winks”, “messages”, from that bigger space, that often carry us when it feels like taking even one more step might completely end us.
•••
If there is something to learn from death it is this; Those who have passed on are everywhere. They can hear us, feel us, and are closer to us than ever before. It will never replace the ache we feel in our human bodies, but it can feel like a cloud sliding under our feet, moving us into a space we can tolerate and if we’re lucky, even enjoy.
•••
If there is something to learn from Laura’s life on earth it is this; be fiercely and unapologetically and authentically you. Stand up, when everyone else sits down. Yell out, when everyone else is quiet. Live as fully and completely and wholly as you can, with love and tenderness and compassion. And CHECK YOUR BREASTS every month. Get your mammogram. Talk to your doctors and make changes to support your body, mind and spirit. Do not accept answers from medical professionals until you feel seen and heard. Today is Laura day. Do all of this for her…but mostly, for you. Look for the little signs and believe them.

Laura Day 💕

Self breast exam, wellness, education, advocacy. This was Laura’s message, her plea to all of us. Spend time on yourself and have conversations that lead you to the healthiest version of you.
•••
Do not be afraid to keep asking questions, request further testing, seek new doctors. If you don’t feel at peace with your health or the answers you’ve been given, there are many ways to start moving in a different direction. Please reach out if you feel stuck.
•••
Laura would want you to know that you matter here. Your existence has meaning. Time spent on your overall wellness is the greatest gift you can give yourself and those that you love.

Happy Laura Day 💕

Time is not a thief, time is a gift. Another month has passed, another Laura day is here. What a gift, this month we’ve all been given. To love, to laugh, to cry, to feel, to sing & dance, to play, to celebrate, to rest & recover, to work & achieve, to fail & learn, to hug & kiss. The gift of time.
•••
Remember, today is YOUR health and wellness check in day. Self breast exam day. The 18th of the month represents the 1 in 8 women that will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Something we know for certain is that early detection saves lives.
•••
Time is not a thief. Time is a gift. What will you do with your gift today?

07/18/2025

Laura taught us to simply be aware. Aware of your body, aware of the statistics, aware of the risk factors in your genetics and in your lifestyle. This doesn’t have to be a massive takeover of the way you are living. It’s making small changes, asking questions to trusted medical professionals and listening to your body. What makes you feel your best? What feels off? These little conversations with yourself over time can lead to lasting habits that could save your life.
•••
The first thing we hope you do is give yourself a breast exam (men too). Even if it feels weird, even if you don’t know what you’re doing. There is a link in our bio that explains how to properly exam yourself and what to look for. Set your alarm for the 18th of every month and make this an easy habit in your routine. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer — early detection saves lives!
•••
We’re so grateful to share Laura’s message every month and are always so moved to hear from you, your stories and how this little reminder has helped you. Thank you for following along and pausing to think of Laura, and of yourself and your wellness.
