The Women’s Endowment Fund was created with longevity in mind.

Our commitment to advancing health and wellness, safety from violence, and economic empowerment for women and girls continues year after year through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership.

This is work designed to endure. If you are looking for meaningful ways to engage, give, volunteer, or lend your voice, we welcome you. There is always room at the table for those who care deeply about this mission.

Behind the scenes, the final details are coming together for “For Women, Forever.”

While tonight will be a celebration, it is grounded in the work that happens throughout the year. The Women’s Endowment Fund invests in organizations that advance safety from violence, economic empowerment, and health and wellness for women and girls in Summit County.

One of the most anticipated moments of the night will be the announcement of our 2026 grantees. These organizations represent the next chapter of impact in our community.

We will also celebrate Bernett L. Williams, this year’s Judith A. Read Tribute Award recipient, and reflect on her journey during a fireside chat on leadership and service.

We look forward to gathering with a community committed to strength in action. What moment are you most looking forward to tonight?

The reveal of our 2026 grantees reflects a deliberate process, not a single moment.

At the Women’s Endowment Fund, we begin by listening to our community. Insights from the Biennial Forum and conversations with nonprofit partners help guide where funding can have the greatest impact.

Our Grants Committee then reviews proposals based on alignment, demonstrated need, and capacity to deliver results.

This is how we ensure that every dollar invested supports women and girls in ways that matter.

What factors do you think matter most when deciding where community funding should go?

The Women’s Endowment Fund Biennial Forum exists to ensure our work reflects the real and evolving needs of women and girls in Summit County.

The 2025 Forum centered on safety from violence with the theme, "Empowering Our Community: Understanding and Addressing Domestic Violence." The goal was to raise awareness, dismantle stereotypes, and strengthen collaboration across our community.

We were honored to hear from leaders at the Hope and Healing Survivor Resource Center, including Teresa M. Stafford-Wright and Ashley Kline, who shared insight from decades of survivor advocacy and trauma-informed care. We also heard from Melissa, a survivor who courageously spoke about her experience and the importance of education and awareness.

As co-chair Monica Vinay reflected, “Meaningful change happens when a community comes together to break down stereotypes, elevate survivor voices, and work collaboratively toward safety and healing.”

“When survivors, experts, partners, and supporters come together with intention, the experience becomes more meaningful,” said fellow co-chair Marie Brilmyer.

The Forum directly informs how future funding is directed so that our investments continue to meet the real needs of survivors throughout Summit County. What conversations do you believe our community needs to keep having?

Strong communities are built through partnership.

Our Inspire and Support Sponsors play an important role in bringing “For Women, Forever” to life. Their investment supports the Women’s Endowment Fund’s ongoing commitment to advancing economic empowerment, safety from violence, and health and wellness for women and girls.

We are grateful for organizations and families who choose to stand alongside this work and help create lasting impact in our community.

Join us in thanking these sponsors for supporting women and girls in Summit County.

Confidence does not happen overnight. It grows through practice, encouragement, and connection.

Victory Gallop provides an equine-assisted therapy program for youth with disabilities. A grant from the Women’s Endowment Fund helped to support a 10-week summer camp. The program combined horsemanship, small group discussion, career exposure, and creative activities to help participants build resilience, independence, and self belief.

Girls formed friendships. They developed new skills. They learned how to navigate challenges and ask for support.
Victory Gallop is creating the kind of impact that strengthens a girl and stays with her long after the program ends. This is what investing in girls looks like.

Who helped you believe in yourself when you needed it most?

We believe the strongest solutions begin with listening.

As part of our ongoing work, the Women’s Endowment Fund listens closely to women, organizations, and community partners across Summit County. We learn so much from our nonprofit partners, our volunteers, and the community leaders who make up our advisory board. But we also believe it’s important to listen more broadly to the people who care deeply about women and girls in our community.

What opportunities do you see in our community to invest in women and girls? Share your thoughts in the comments. We’re listening.
