☀️ SAVE THE DATE: Hope in the Heat 2026 ☀️

Mark your calendars! Our annual summer mission, Hope in the Heat, is happening on Sunday, July 26 at Annunciation Akron Greek Orthodox Church.

This is one of our most impactful days of the year and brings together our community to provide essentials, support, and connection to our friends facing homelessness and hardship during the hottest months.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing ways for companies, families, and individuals to get involved by sponsoring much-needed items and helping us make this day truly special.

⚽️💙 We were SO excited to support this incredible soccer initiative led by the Akron Police Department!

Akron Snow Angels was proud to donate deodorant—because something as simple as hygiene can help someone show up feeling confident, included, and ready to be part of something bigger.

A special shoutout to Officer Williams, who has been a volunteer with Akron Snow Angels since the very beginning. Watching him continue to pour into our community in so many ways is what this is all about. 💛

Today is our last Akron Snow Angels mission of the winter season. If you have placed orders for items, today is the final opportunity for pick up.

It’s looking like a beautiful day, so if you could use toiletries, items from our cars, or a good meal, please stop by. We’d love to see you. 💛

If you’re driving: please park across the street and walk over. We need the parking lot.

Dead End of Park Street behind the Speedway Gas Station at East Market St. & N. Union St.
(Opposite side of the train tracks from Haven of Rest & Grace Park)
If you’re driving: please DO NOT park on this street; we need it for our cars.

We’ll be serving a hot meal from The Lal Group, who are leading efforts to revitalize Merriman Valley Liberty Commons, and coffee courtesy of O’Charley’s in Chapel Hill. ☕🍽️

We’re excited to share the next Tumble Together Free Community Wash Day happening on Tuesday, February 17th from 11am–4pm at Westside Laundromat (853 Copley Rd.)!

City of Akron residents can receive up to three loads of FREE washing and drying & free detergent.

Akron Snow Angels is honored to be a sponsor, and we’re grateful to be part of this event and the support it brings to our community. We’ll continue to provide laundry detergent packets to help make the day a little easier for our neighbors.

Please help spread the word to anyone who could benefit from this wonderful program! 💙
