Get ready to see a kaleidoscope of wonderful entries at Art Blooms! opening in 6 weeks. All classes in the Flower Arranging, Botanical Jewelry & Photography Divisions are full, with entries by premier exhibitors coming from near and far. In the meantime, check out the recently opened FLORA exhibit at the Akron Art Museum. It is a stellar collection featuring seductive photographic still lifes of the plant world.

Downtown at Dusk TONIGHT features a FLORAL THROWDOWN at 7:30 in the museum auditorium while the band takes a break. Come see Robin Hardman, Pam McMillen and Colleen Wernig make fast work of making something lovely with summer garden flowers. Marguerite Tremelin emcees. See you tonight!!

The Kaleidoscope Quilt exhibit is open! Visit Akron Art Museum now to see the work of Paula Nadelstern, on loan from the American Folk Art Museum in New York which inspired the theme for Art Blooms! September 22-25. Potential exhibitors in the Flower Arranging Division will want to see first hand the quilts providing inspiration for floral design.
