The North Hill Community Development Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of David Swirsky as Executive Director. This transition marks an important milestone as the organization continues advancing a shared vision for North Hill's future.
Under outgoing Executive Director Justin Chenault, North Hill CDC deepened its role as a neighborhood connector—bringing together public partners, philanthropy, and community leaders to advance creative placemaking, entrepreneurship, and inclusive development. Through public art, cultural programming, neighborhood markets, and park activations, North Hill has grown into a place where residents gather, entrepreneurs grow, and community identity is celebrated.

Looking Ahead
Redevelopment of 771 North Main Street remains a top priority — a mixed-use investment that will strengthen the North Main corridor, anchor the emerging Temple Square district, and expand opportunities for local microenterprises, affordable housing, and community connection. NHCDC and Akron Parks Collaborative are also working to establish Waters Park as a destination for recreation, cultural gatherings, and cross-generational connection. Arts and culture will remain central throughout, with NHCDC continuing to partner with artists and cultural organizations to celebrate North Hill's diversity through storytelling, performance, food, and shared public spaces.
