Have you met Miss Renee Cox? 🥰 In this video, Miss Renee explains how she meets with women on their worst days and tells them about Jesus.

"You can struggle without Him, but if you struggle with Him, you're going to struggle either way, but, one way leads to life in peace and the other leads to death."

Miss Renee is a Chaplain and Director of Women's Outreach and Mentoring. She holds Bible Studies on Monday morning, Tuesday morning, and Wednesday afternoon. She has been sharing her huge heart and the love of Jesus with women through our Ministry since 2012.

Thank you, Miss Renee! We love you! 😍

He is risen! He is risen, indeed! Happy Easter, dear friends!
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." John 11: 25-26
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

This Good Friday, we honor the passion of our Lord, Jesus, who gave his life for his friends and ushered in a new world. "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth. Do you not perceive it?"
Isaiah 43:18

Today, we meditate on the last meal Jesus shared with his friends. And, we remember the countless ways he still welcomes us to his table, teaches us to give thanks, and welcomes us just as we are.

"And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
Luke 22:19–20

We meditate on the Gospel of John, we remember that Jesus was a life giver in every way. Bread. Spring. Healer. Well of Love. With every prayer, we turn our hearts to him and we are filled.

After feeding thousands of people on a mountainside, "Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said: Streams of living water will flow from within him."

Isaiah speaks of fasting as a remedy to oppression. He describes oppression as hunger, poverty, and homelessness. “Remove the chains of oppression and the yoke of injustice, and let the oppressed go free. Share your food with the hungry and open your homes to the homeless poor. Give clothes to those who have nothing to wear and do not refuse to help your own relatives."

These are needs we try to address for each of our clients. Many come to us with nothing. From spiritual to practical needs, we do our best to fill them up.

How can we bless others this Easter? Can we prepare a meal for someone? Deliver a meal? Make a donation? Whatever it is, we can break the chains of oppression for someone this Easter.

"Then my favor will shine on you like the morning sun, and your wounds will be quickly healed. I will always be with you to save you; my presence will protect you on every side. When you pray, I will answer you.”

- Isaiah 58:6-9 (Good News Translation)

Many people and places around the world are suffering this Palm Sunday. As we offer our prayers to all those in need, we remember that Jesus ushered in a new world at Easter. And, we take heart.

Isn't it incredible to remember that Jesus chose us? Through every generation, Jesus is moving. Choosing his people. Giving them a new identity. Setting them free.

Once you have experienced this miracle, your life will be forever changed for the better.

As you prepare for Easter, remember that whatever you're experiencing, Jesus is calling you into a friendship with him that is deeper than any friendship you've known. You are chosen. And, he is ready to share everything with you.

Will you join us in prayer and fasting during the final days of Lent? When Jesus taught us who HE was, he also taught us who WE are. "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" (1 John 3:1)

- We HONOR God's extravagant love in this song by Hillsong Worship.

"Who am I that the Highest King would welcome me? I was lost, but He brought me in. Oh, His love for me."

- We RECOGNIZE that he has set us free and we claim our true identity in Jesus, unshackled, with every chain broken.

"Who the Son sets free, oh, is free indeed. I'm a child of God, yes I am! Free at last, He has ransomed me. Oh, His grace runs deep."

- We REMEMBER that Jesus paid the ultimate price for us.

"While I was a slave to sin, Jesus died for me.
Yes, He died for me."

- We RETURN home as Children of God.

"In my Father's house there's a place for me.
I'm a child of God, yes I am.
I am chosen, not forsaken.
I am who You say I am."

- As we prepare for the Holy celebration of Easter, let's humbly thank God for his boundless love, his unfathomable sacrifice, and our true identity in HIM.
