PSS Friends Speaking life to Akron and beyond! Our dual core mission:

> Saving babies from abortion is the obvious distinguishing purpose for our existence.

We give free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and options counseling.

> Placing the seed of the gospel in well fertilized fields is not only highly effective but also gives us the satisfaction of being an organization that helps the Church fulfill the great commission.

People sometimes imagine nonprofit work as one long inspiring moment.

We promise there are spreadsheets, phone calls, supply closets, and staffing concerns.

And we love the work because behind every restock or new hire lies the chance to help more women.

One of our favorite sentences is:
“We know someone who can help with that.”

Pregnancy Solutions doesn’t need to be every resource in Summit County. We know our community well enough to help women find the ones they need.

One of the kindest things we can give new parents is a place to ask basic questions. Nobody becomes a better parent by pretending to know things they were never taught. Your faithful support helps us continue to provide free parenting classes so new parents have a solid foundation to care for their child.

We want to help before a family reaches a breaking point.

Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do for a family is stop pretending family life is always easy.
New babies add joy.
They also add stress, less sleep, more expenses, and new arguments.
Supporting families means being honest about both.

Some things can be left unsaid.

A good father doesn’t have to be fearless. He can be nervous, unsure, or overwhelmed.
That just means he cares. When we can show up for him, too, we boost his confidence in knowing he can parent his child well.
