Have a streetlight not working right?

Ensuring the streetlights come on each night is very important, from both a company and customer perspective and improved street lighting can help reduce crime in local neighborhoods and communities.

Here are the best ways to report a streetlight outage:

Call First Energy at 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) and say “streetlight” after the greeting

or

Use this link to report the lighting problem online: https://www.firstenergycorp.com/content/customer/service_requests/report-lighting-problem.html

- When reporting an outage, let us know:
* Your name and phone number (in case we need more information)
* Address where the streetlight is located (nearest house or business address and the nearest cross street).
* Number on the utility pole.
* What is wrong with the streetlight (damaged pole; broken light fixture; light is off at night, on during the day, or flickers).

Unfortunately, the City is no longer supporting festivals like the one that we have held for 25 years as the major fundraiser to support our projects in Kenmore. They would prefer smaller one or two-day events more oriented towards adults and political interests, not fun, parades, fireworks and fond memories of the local community.

KCC is now faced with finding alternative events to raise funds to promote community spirit and in Kenmore. We have some projects in the works, but it will ultimately be for the City to approve.

Mayor Horrigan Hosts Annual Neighborhood Town Hall Series Beginning April 20

Akron, Ohio, April 12, 2017 – Mayor Dan Horrigan will host his annual Neighborhood Town Hall series beginning April 20 at Hyre CLC. This year’s series will once again offer residents an opportunity to discuss important issues with the Mayor directly and to learn about the latest City news.

Those in attendance may ask questions, convey their concerns and share points of interest regarding that specific neighborhood with the Mayor and his staff. The events are spread throughout the City to keep the conversations neighborhood-focused. Parents are encouraged to bring teens and young adults to learn more about our city government and civic engagement.

Assistant to the Mayor for Community Relations, Billy Soule, will facilitate the 75-minute sessions. Each session begins at 6 p.m.
