Rosetta a senior and recent homebuyer who went through our homebuyer education classes, housing counseling, and financial literacy counseling says having a home gave her purpose again. In 2025 more keys handed over, more neighbors connected, and more reasons to be proud of the East Akron community. Thank you for building it with us. A special thank you to our partners NeighborWorks America! 🏠🔑💡

Through out 2025 we served more than 16,000 people in community building and engagement programming in Akron and Canton with our partners and local community leaders. Our Center for Homeownership had 184 homebuyer education graduates and 166 homebuyer and financial counseling clients. Our Energy Services team conducted 931 home audits and replaced 7,350 LED light bulbs.

At EANDC we help keep opportunity within reach for the people who need it the most, by providing affordable housing and services to help families grow and where neighbors can stay connected.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We are excited to partner with Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center on a Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt this month for the East Akron community!

When you come by our offices located on 550 S. Arlington St you will see a purple pumpkin before you walk into our reception area. Once you find the purple pumpkin, there will be candy available and resources. *Please only pick 2 or 3 candy pieces at a time. Then you must have your passport stamped and return your completed passport to Hope and Healing to receive a prize.

You can visit The Hope and Healing Resource Center at 974 E Market St, Akron, OH 44305. The Trick or Treat Scavenger Hunt will end on Saturday, October 31.

This past Thursday, September 24 U.S. Bank collaborated with EANDC on community service hours in the Akron community! They assisted with our staff at our Arlington Veterans Apartments located in Akron. US Bank brought 16 volunteers to help with painting bird feeders, a little library, trimming hedges, raking leaves, and prepping a raised garden bed for our veterans. The bird feeders, raised garden bed, and little library were provided by , a non-profit that works with the youths of the Summit Lakes community and nearby neighborhoods.

Thank you US Bank for partnering with us to make a positive impact for our veterans! Thank you Summit Lake Build Corps for your donations! Let's continue to build partnerships that help our veterans and seniors.
