Our Summit JOG team wrapped up an amazing school year and kicked off summer with a well-deserved cookout celebration! ☀️

Huge thanks to Chef Mike, owner of Drake's Barbeque Company, for keeping us fueled, and an even bigger shoutout to our incredible team for all of their hard work and dedication. Shout out to our fantastic team on a year well done, and we look forward to even more successes this summer!

Congrats to our ! This week, we have been highlighting the hard work you have put in this year, and your entire High School career. Across Ashland, Medina, Stark, Summit, and Trumbull counties, graduations have been taking place, and we have been so excited for all of our graduates. It is inspiring to see the same young people who joined our program years (or even months) ago, who have grown into young adults ready to jump into their futures and careers. Great job on all of your hard work, and congratulations again to the class of 2026.

This week, we are ending this month's lesson plan the same way it started; talking about maturity! After considering all of the and to balance, keeping a level head and reacting with maturity will get you the furthest at work. This especially counts when dealing with close deadlines, budget maintenance , and taking criticism. Before reacting, consider this month's life skill topics 🤔 .

As the 2025-2026 school year wraps up, we are looking back on another successful school year! Hundreds of participants walked through our doors this year. Whether they were just starting their JOG journey, or celebrating months of progress, each brought their own story and determination to build their futures.

This week, we're talking accountability! It can look many different ways, but making healthy habits, like being to work (and early or on time) is one of the most important ways to be a step above. Unexcused absences look bad on your record, and can even get you fired. Of course, this doesn't mean avoid personal needs to go to work. If you are sick, or have another excused absence, communication is key, so tell your boss!

It really can be that simple at most worksites. Even though you may feel like you need to go in, take the time you need so you don't get worse and your coworkers don't get sick. Nobody wants you to get sick!

Last night, Massillon Washington High School hosted their ceremony, and we were lucky enough to watch our participants cross the stage for their diplomas! Seeing their hard work, perseverance, and growth pay off in such a memorable moment was truly inspiring. This milestone marks not just the end of their high school journey, but the beginning of exciting new opportunities ahead. We are so proud of all of our Class of 2026 graduates! 🎓
