First Tee – Greater Akron empowers kids through golf and mentorship. Building confidence, character, and a stronger community.

At First Tee – Greater Akron, we empower young people to become game changers in life through the game of golf. Our programs go beyond the sport, teaching kids and teens critical life skills such as confidence, perseverance, integrity, and leadership. In 2024 alone, we directly impacted 19,600 kids and teens - providing them with mentorship, character education, and opportunities that help them su

cceed on and off the course. By combining the values of golf with life-enhancing experiences, we are building the next generation of leaders in our community. We proudly serve youth across Greater Akron, breaking down barriers to the game and ensuring that every child has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

📣 Spring Session Recap! ⛳

First Tee – Greater Akron wrapped up an incredible 2026 spring season with 180 kids participating at Raintree Golf & Event Center and Mud Run Golf Course & Driving Range!

Our participants spent the season learning putting, chipping, and driving skills while focusing on First Tee’s 5 Key Commitments both on and off the course. We also celebrated an exciting milestone — our first spring using the new First Tee practice range at Mud Run! 🙌

On this Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Because of their sacrifice, our communities have the freedom to live, learn, play, and grow. At First Tee – Greater Akron, we are deeply grateful for those who served and for the families who continue to carry their memory forward.
