They have explored, read, researched, and so much more expanding of their worlds this week during our Fall Experience Trip.

Day 4 of our scholars’ Experience Trip went a little different then planned.

God’s plan versus our plans. The floods and rain in Dallas on yesterday may have changed the adventure, it didn’t stop the adventures. We detoured to the Galleria Dallas for exploring, trying new foods, and buying souvenirs to stamp our adventures from this experience trip.

After lunch, we headed back to housing for reading, learning, and fun community/fellowship time with our friends. Community time is just what God ordered as we are nearing the end of our trip!

Sometimes we have to just slow down and notice the things God has and is doing. 😀😀

Today was a relax day. It was light on the speed of the scholars’ adventures but not on the adventures itself.

Today started out with worship, exercise, and affirmation for our scholars.

They then headed to the Dallas Children’s Theater. The children enjoyed a musical called “Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed.” It was based on the book written by MO Williams with the same title. MO Williams is also one of our scholars favorite authors.

Wilbur the main character in the musical dared to be different. In a community where every one looked the same, Wilbur dared to challenge the status quo or question the understood silent rules of the community’s traditions.

The musical encouraged communities and friends to accept and respect others who are different. It also encouraged those that are different or expresses themselves uniquely that sometimes questioning the norm could sometimes leave to positive change, growth and personal freedom.

After the musical, the children enjoyed lunch at King’s Buffet.

They later ended their rest day with a nice Taco fellowship with friends and supporters of our school.

Oh the adventures our little scholars will experience!

Today was a busy day packed with adventures! The children began their day in Dallas, Texas, with worship, affirmation, and exercise.

Their first stop took them to the wonderful marine life at Dallas World Aquarium! There they explored the Orinoco Rainforest featuring flight birds such as toucans and scarlet ibis, and sloths and a huge manatee name Antillean! Dallas World Aquarium is the home to many rare residents like the shoebill stork and little blue penguins.

The children took a relax break for lunch in the Klyde Warren Park. There they made friends with the locals and enjoyed an outdoor reading room and recreation area for kids.

After lunch, the children explored the ICR Discovery Center. There they learned facts about the origins of the universe to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

It was a fun packed day for our little scholars.

Today, the children began their Fall experience trip with a visit to Jesse Brent’s Lower Mississippi River Museum in Vicksburg, Mississippi!

The children learned about one of the most memorable floods in Mississippi history and the engineering efforts that were put into taming the Mississippi River.

They boarded the retired 1993 Motor Vessel Mississippi IV and went on an adventure exploring the Mississippi River’s past with the many displays on the vessel!

Sometimes the most important lessons don’t come from a book.

This week our students encouraged Pastor Malcom from Maranatha Church after the loss of his sister. They made him a card, sang to him, and he prayed with them.

We are grateful to help grow hearts that care for others. ❤️

As we close the chapter on 2025 at Beyond Education Academy, we do so with grateful hearts. This past year was filled with growth, faith, learning, service, and unforgettable moments that shaped our scholars beyond the classroom.

We’re carrying the lessons, the joy, and the purpose with us as we step forward. Goodbye 2025. Welcome, 2026. We’re ready for all that God has in store.
