Northeast Ohio Sjögren's Syndrome Support Group This is the official page for Northeast Ohio Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group Today, as many as four million Americans are living with this disease.

Sjögren’s (pronounced SHOW-grins) syndrome is a chronic autoimmune disease in which moisture-producing glands are damaged, signifciantly decreasing the quantity and quality of saliva and tears.. Five top symptoms: dry eyes, dry mouth, joint pain, fatigue, and brain fog. Sjögren’s may also cause dysfunction of other organs such as the kidneys, gastrointestinal system, blood vessels, lungs, liver, p

ancreas, and the central nervous system. Patients may also experience extreme fatigue and joint pain and have a higher risk of developing lymphoma.

Topic: “Sjögren’s – The Next Chapter”

Since joining the Foundation as CEO in 2003, Steven Taylor has focused on increasing Sjögren’s awareness, changing patient care for Sjögren’s patients while also focusing on introducing large research initiatives that will change how Sjögren’s is treated, perceived and understood.

As the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Steven and his national staff oversee all of its activities, programs and services. At the meeting, Steven will share his vision for the Foundation and provide information about current programs and development activities, especially recent advancements in clinical trials and research breakthroughs.

Join us as Steven will provide an update on the Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation – what we have accomplished and where we are going. In addition to sharing a wealth of knowledge, Steven brings a big heart and a great sense of humor to all he does.
