Dreams Academy Dreams Academy is a school for Black boys, building culture, character, and excellence. Kings Academy and Queens Academy mentor youth ages 10–17.

Based in Akron, OH. Dreams Academy is where we Develop Responsible Extraordinary African-American Males for Success. We impact young men, between the ages of 10 to 15, and provide them with valuable lessons as they prepare for manhood, exposing them to some of the most esteemed professional African-American males from around the region. They will interact with professionals from all career walks,

YEAR ONE: COMPLETE ✅

Dreams Academy officially completed its first academic year!

What started as a vision became a real school, real classrooms, real impact, and real transformation for families across our city.

This year, our students grew academically, emotionally, socially, and confidently in an environment built specifically for them.

Now we prepare for YEAR TWO.

A Decade of Dreams! 🎉

We’re excited to launch our Kings & Queens Academy Anniversary Session beginning Wednesday, March 18th as we celebrate 10 years of mentoring, leadership, and empowering the next generation.

To kick things off, our first session will be a combined session for both Kings and Queens — a fun icebreaker experience designed to help students connect and start the session strong together.

After the kickoff, we’ll return to our regular format:
👑 Kings Academy – Monday evenings
👑 Queens Academy – Wednesday evenings
🕡 6:30 – 8:00 PM

This special spring Anniversary Session is going to be powerful, engaging, and full of growth for our students.

During Black History Month, our students took time to honor the founder of our school and share what Dreams Academy means to them. Hearing young scholars speak about feeling loved, supported, and proud of their school is a powerful reminder that education is about more than academics — it’s about building confidence, character, and community.

Every day we are working to create a place where our boys are seen, challenged, and inspired to believe in their potential.

The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.

Dreams Academy is looking for a **part-time or contracted School Psychologist and Speech Therapist** to support our small, growing community of 15–20 young scholars.

We are a mission-driven school serving Black boys and committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care that supports the whole child—academically, emotionally, and behaviorally.

These roles are ideal for professionals who want to make a deep impact in a small setting, build real relationships with students and staff, and be part of something meaningful from the ground up.
