We are hoping to make this a tradition every year for the parade. Everyone had a great time. It was so amazing seeing the entire town honoring the colors as we drove by! Thank you Vincent Alonso for allowing us the use your deuce 1/2, it brought back a lot of memories for us Vets!

Attention all brave, slightly creaky, and still-awesome veterans! We need YOU to ride in the back of a military deuce 1/2 for the parade—yes, that means fresh air, waving crowds, and the rare opportunity to look cooler than everyone else without even trying. Dust off those boots (or at least locate them), practice your royal wave, and prepare to relive your glory days—minus the early morning drills. Whether you served last decade or last century, your presence will remind everyone what real heroes look like (hint: it’s you, sitting proudly in a truck instead of doing push-ups). Join us for laughs, cheers, and a ride that’s way more comfortable than anything you remember from service! Bring a pillow😂

The American Legion Department Commander Mike Crow and Senior Vice Commander Steve Butner are making their rounds with the "Moving Forward" tour visiting all Colorado Districts before the National Convention.

If you are curious about what the American Legion is all about, or have questions, here is your opportunity.

This Saturday at the Vets hall, at 1:45. It would be great to see everyone!

Memorial day services this past Monday. We were blessed with the Son's of the Revolution, the Piney Woods Chapter, Texas Society who dedicated the bench to our cemetery. Some of their relatives are buried in Akron. The King and Elliott family settled in the Anton area. Then later moved to Akron and Denver areas and now are spread out all across the United States.
They told stories about their heritage and all the members who served their country in the Army, Navy, and Marines. It was a wonderful time listening and talking to this family.
